Island Friends Roatan
An Established Non-profit 501c3

Island Friends is a coordinating point for volunteer efforts on the island of Roatan. It focuses on connecting those who want to help, with those in need. We make it easier for you to know where to put your interest in giving back. Our Forums provide information of current events, new ventures, create ideas and put them to action with help needed. Over one hundred and fifty volunteers and most of the non-profits are represented. Our data base contains contact information for these people.

The Goal:
The Island Friends goal is to organize, connect and take action on local projects for people in need. We support the efforts for better health, medical facilities, infant and child care, women’s issues, education, ending pediatric aids and caring for those already infected, reef conservation, participation in sports and music, trade and vocational schools, and the opportunities for tutoring and scholarships. We also believe in helping people help themselves.

The Forums:

The roundtable discussions include the latest concerns and ideas, identify what is going on, and speakers to inform us of plans of action. There's time to socialize and connect with old and new friends. We're also helping to avoid duplication of these remarkable efforts, unless it is needed, or appropriate.

Everyone is welcome! We invite you to join us and share in the development of our communities…because we are all neighbors.

We notify Island Friends when we have a Forum. Let us know your email contact information and we will add you to the invitation list. All are welcome and encouraged to come.
